Cactus And Other Succulents At Boyce Thompson Arboretum

In early March we stopped by the Boyce Thompson Arboretum
near Superior, Arizona east of Phoenix.

Being a lover of cactus...

...I was particularly interested in that part of the garden...

...and I was not disappointed.

The succulent above in the center of the photo is from Australia,
I believe.

These desserts of the desert are from South America.

This is the Baja California section
with a cardon cactus on the far right.

This tree like succulent is a boojum found in the Baja.

Anybody home?

The flowering plant in the upper right is an aloe.

The white hairy one just below it is Bolivian,
the white hair helps protect it from the intense sun and heat.
