Kites And The Future Builders Of Mexico

In the neighborhood where our trailer park is,
 here in Alamos, Sonora,
the kids fly homemade kites most every day.

The kids start at about 3 or 4 years old and go up to teenagers.

The kites are made of recycled plastic bags, sticks and some string.

I found this one stuck in a tree by our van the other day.

It made me think.

These kids are learning manuel dexterity, problem solving,
 inventiveness, aerodynamics, working together,and design.

This kite is the most simple and basic of the kites we have seen.

Some are multicolored, complex shapes, multiple tails.

The trees and electric wires around here are strewn
 with kites that got caught.

Go kids!
